Alex is a Speech-Language Pathologist with clinical experience across acute hospitals, outpatient clinics, home-based settings, and early intervention settings, where he has worked with both adults and children with a wide range of communication and swallowing needs, particularly in supporting adults with language, speech, and swallowing disorders. He graduated with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) from the University of Queensland and is a fully registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).

Over the years, Alex has worked with adults presenting with a wide range of communication and swallowing needs, including those arising from stroke, neurological conditions, and other acquired disorders. Drawing on this varied clinical background, he takes a patient-centred approach to assessment and therapy, tailoring intervention to each individual's specific needs, goals, and stage of recovery. Alex believes that meaningful progress happens when clients feel understood and actively involved in their own rehabilitation journey.

He is committed to helping clients regain confidence in communication and safe swallowing, using evidence-based techniques suited to each stage of the rehabilitation process, whether in the acute setting, outpatient clinic, or within the client's own home. Alex recognises that recovery extends beyond the therapy session, and he works closely with clients and their families to embed practical strategies into daily routines, supporting functional outcomes in everyday life.

Known for his calm, patient, and approachable nature, Alex is passionate about creating a supportive environment where clients feel empowered to communicate and engage confidently, at every stage of their recovery. He believes that strong partnerships with clients and their families are central to meaningful, lasting progress, and he is dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care across the full continuum of adult rehabilitation settings.
